ROWAN'S LAW
Rowan’s Law was established to protect youth athletes by increasing awareness of concussion prevention, identification, and management. It is named in memory of Rowan Stringer, a high school rugby player who tragically died from a concussion-related injury.

In compliance with Rowan’s Law, Northern Lights School of Skating requires all skaters and their parent/guardian to acknowledge the Rowan’s Law Concussion Awareness Information at the time of registration.
Athletes under the age of 26, and parents/guardians of athletes under 18, must confirm that they have reviewed the Government of Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources (linked below) as well as Skate Ontario’s Concussion Code of Conduct for Athletes and Parents/Guardians prior to the first day of skating.

Acknowledgement Form
Login in to your registration account to confirm it was completed at time of registration (usually during checkout).
What Happens If the Form Is Not Completed
Skaters will not be permitted on the ice until the acknowledgement is completed.
